MS's largest single production facility is in Selfoss. A total of 110 employees works in MS Selfoss, producing liquid milk, fermented products as skyr and yoghurt, as well as a variety of UHT products, butter and milk powder. The  milk collection area extends from Snæfellsnes in the west to Skeiðarásandur in the east, and annually it receives about 75 million liters of milk from about 290 farmers, which is about half of all milk production in the country. At Selfoss, there is a maintenance department, a laboratory and milk inspection, and transport activities are an important part of the operation of the facility, from the collection of milk to the transport of the finished product to Reykjavík and product distribution in the south.Skyrland immerses your senses in the world of skyr, Iceland’s unique superfood.
