Nordic Dairy Congress will give a lot of take aways for all participants

Wednesday, April 6, 2022

The Programme Committee 2022 consists of 11 dedicated dairy people – mainly from the host country Sweden and with a few from Denmark. We have asked two of the members to give a few comments upon the coming event.

Henrik J. Andersen, Senior Executive R&D Advisor in Arla Foods

Why is Nordic Dairy Congress important to you?

A main reason to participate in NDC is to meet and greet with likeminded people, academia and industry peers from different geographical areas who share a common interest in dairy. This always make me learn from others, get inspired and improve my insight and knowledge about our field. Networking between academia and industry is urgent to be at the forefront in our field.

Is there any speeches or persons in the programme which has special importance for you?

I do find that we have succeeded in setting up an exciting program and I find that there are a lot of presentations from which I hope to become enlightened. If I have to point on any specific presentations of interest, I really look forward to hear the two sustainable keynotes by Brian Lindsay and Ulf Sonesson, as well as the presentation by Professor Adam Drewnowski -  “How to reduce climate impact while enhancing nutritional value and preserving exiting food culture?”

Finally, I always look forward to the flash talks providing insight in the future aspects of dairy.

How do you recommend participation to your colleagues?

I have shared the program in my internal network, my external network and via LinkedIn.

Karin Hallin Saedén, Research Manager, Norrmejerier, Sweden

Why is Nordic Dairy Congress important to you?

I think it is a great opportunity to get together with dairy colleagues from all Nordic countries and get a lot of useful information about common issues that we have to deal with on a daily basis at the dairy. I hope and think this year’s conference will give a lot of take aways for all participants.

Is there any speeches or persons in the program which has special importance for you?

Not particularly, but I think there is a broad spectrum of speakers that all are experts in specific areas so a sum of all will be the best. If I shall point out something I think it will be very interesting to hear speakers that comes from other disciplines, to hear their input on dairy.

How do you recommend participation to your colleagues?

I talk to people in my internal and external network and sharing information on LinkedIn.
