President of the Nordic Dairy Council Søren Jensen welcomed the participants to the first meeting in the Programme Committee. He made a short introduction to the Dairy Congress 2017 and the theme "Adding Value". He handed over the baton to the Chairman of the Programme Committee Grith Mortensen, Arla Foods Innovation and together with the rest of the committee the process was initiated. It is expected that the programme will be announced in December 2016.

The Programme Committee is composed of eight members, all of which are key players in the dairy research, technology and science in Denmark. Most of the members are also internationally acknowledged for their scientific achievements.
